Well, not so much the first three months with a newborn!
OK, even the first three months. :)
But now that Audrey is six months old, she is so much easier to care for as she is in a routine, as are we in caring for her. Her naps, feedings, and bedtime (8pm-7am) are fairly on schedule. Beyond that, she is engaging with us more and more each day. She has transformed from a helpless little crying, pooping, peeing squishy blob to a little person who signals to us without crying (usually!) when she needs something. She smiles on cue and giggles when we play with her. She has been rolling over and pivoting 360 degrees, so it's just a matter of days before she will be crawling. Heaven helps us when she is fully mobile!
While we have been keeping up and commenting on others' stories in blogland, we haven't updated our own blog in a long time since our surrogacy journey has concluded, and we haven't had much interesting to report or say. But we did want to share a few pictures of Audrey with our friends and community. Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas, and it's custom to have pictures taken in the wildflowers that blanket the roadsides and fields of Texas in the spring.

This rocking chair belonged to Travis' grandmother (Audrey's namesake) when she herself was a little girl. |
We hope everyone is doing well and life is just as sweet for you all.
